The pre-installation of brass compression fittings is the most important link, which directly affects the reliability of the seal. A dedicated preloader is generally required. Fittings with small diameters can be pre-assembled in a vise. The specific method is: use a compression pipe fitting body as the parent body, and press the nut and the compression pipe fitting onto the pipe. There are mainly compression straight-through pipe joints, compression-type end-through pipe joints, and compression-type three-way pipe joints. The author found that the depths of the conical holes on the joint bodies of these types of joint bodies are often different in time for the same batch of goods from the same manufacturer. It is possible that the compression is not in close contact with the spherical surface formed by the conical surface of the joint body, so leakage is caused, and this problem is often ignored.
