Precautions For Installation Of Brass Compression Fittings
1. Do not drain the system by loosening the fitting nut or fitting plug.
2. Do not install or tighten fittings while the system is under pressure.
3. Make sure the tube rests against the shoulder of the compression fitting body before tightening the nut.
4. Do not mix fitting components from different materials or manufacturers - crimp fittings, crimps, nuts and fitting bodies.
5. Do not rotate the fitting body. Instead, fix the fitting body and turn the nut.
6. The material of the brass compression fittings should be softer than the material of the fittings. Example: Stainless steel tubing must not be used with brass fittings.
7. Surface finish is very important for proper sealing. Tubing with dents, scratches, raised portions or other surface defects of any kind will be difficult to seal, especially in gas applications.
8. The pipe must be inserted to the end during installation.
9. The two card sets are indispensable, and the front and rear cannot be reversed.
